Description
The training will help providers understand and respond to the widespread impact of trauma.
The training will review the five principles of trauma-informed care (TIC) and describe practical strategies for implementation. Providers will also learn how to determine potential indicators of trauma exposure in individuals, including behavioral, emotional, and physical manifestations. Additionally, knowledge about evidence-based interventions to promote Post-Traumatic Growth (PTG) will be discussed; this will highlight the importance of the healing relationship while managing boundaries. Lastly, the training will help raise awareness around the signs of vicarious trauma (VT). Providers will then learn how to transform VT into vicarious resiliency by reviewing strategies that can increase self-care and self-compassion.
