Continuing Education Approval

RIMHCA is responsible for evaluating and endorsing continuing education offerings presented in Rhode Island for Licensed Mental Health Counselors. Training events endorsed by RIMHCA will be accepted as quality continuing educational activities and will be accepted toward required numbers of clock hours for re-licensure in RI.

To complete this application you will need:

1. A description of the training/presentation

2. List of program objectives

3. Clock hours awarded for the event

4. Name and qualifications of the Presenter for each event (attach CV or resume)

Please note all required materials must be received 30 days prior to start of the event.

CONTINUING EDUCATION ENDORSEMENT POLICY AND PROCEDURE

After review and acceptance of this application, the RIMHCA board will convey an approval number to the contact person for this application with an approved evaluation form to be used at the event. This person is responsible for providing the completed evaluation forms and a copy of the roster of attendees successfully completing the event within thirty (30) days of the training.

CEU Application Fees:*

$50 for a program charging admission

$10 for a free program or a program charging less than $5 admission

$10 for a repeat presentation of a program approved by RIMHCA within the last 12 months.
