8:30-9:00am - Registration and Buffet Breakfast

9:00am-12:00pm - 3 hour Presentation

Description

Participatory action research approaches have the unique result of increasing engagement and motivation for and by the participant. This training demonstrates how these participatory approaches can be adapted and applied across clients in clinical settings to increase motivation, engagement, and client led collaboration toward treatment goals. Presenter will share tools and privacy structures for cross client collaboration within individual sessions, with specific examples targeting hard to reach client groups (e.g. developmentally diverse, guilt/shame, obstinate/defiant symptoms across the lifespan), as well as share specific data for attendees to use with their client base.
