New to ACT? Interested in delving deeper? Sign up now for a three-hour workshop diving into Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), including fundamental processes and skills (3 CEs).

Led by Todd Schmenk, LMHC, an experienced ACT practitioner, this workshop offers an experiential approach, combining skills and concepts for immediate application in your practice. You'll engage in experiential exercises to grasp new concepts, followed by opportunities to apply them with your clients.

This workshop provides a solid foundation for integrating ACT into your existing therapeutic approach, whether it's CBT, DBT, IFS, or others, thanks to ACT's transdiagnostic, process-based nature.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

• Describe the six processes that underlie psychological flexibility.
• Describe and demonstrate the ACT therapeutic relationship and its core competencies.
• Describe how to use the six core processes in both application and in case conceptualization.
• Describe and demonstrate how acceptance and diffusion work together in supporting openness to experience.
• Describe and demonstrate how the present moment and self-as-context assist in establishing awareness.
• Describe and demonstrate how values and committed action support meaningful living.

Policies

• Advanced Registration is REQUIRED - this event will be limited to 75 registrants. $45 for RIMHCA members, $65 for non-members (+processing fees)
• Registration  is processed through Wix (credit/debit cards) or through PayPal, but a  PayPal account is not required. You may simply fill out your  credit/debit card information to proceed with registration once prompted
• RIMHCA Membership must be up-to-date - please contact Ashley@RIMHCA.org with any questions about your membership status
• 3 CEUs will be offered for LMHCs, 3 CEs are approved for LICSWs!  Registrants will need to attend the entire presentation and submit an  evaluation in order to receive their CEUs.
• No refunds will be provided after Wednesday, March 6th. Refunds will incur a $2 processing fee.
